This notice explains how personal data is processed when you contact Akkır Legal through its website or by email.
Law No. 6698
This privacy notice has been prepared by Attorney Adem Akkır ("Akkır Legal") in order to provide information, pursuant to Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (the "Law"), about the processing of personal data in connection with communications made online.
How Personal Data Is Collected
Your personal data is collected by email when you send a request to the email address stated on our communication channels. If the communication develops into a business relationship, the personal data sent by email is retained in physical records or local servers. Otherwise, it is deleted.
Processing Purposes
Akkır Legal processes personal data for the purposes of following and conducting its legal affairs and carrying out and supervising its business activities in accordance with applicable legislation. Personal data obtained on the legal grounds stated in this notice is processed under the Law and retained in accordance with the principles set out in Article 4. Unless otherwise expressly required by law, personal data is processed for as long as the relevant purpose and legal basis continue to exist. When that purpose or legal basis ends, the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
Transfers of Personal Data
Personal data processed in connection with website communications is not otherwise transferred by Akkır Legal. Personal data relating to communications that do not develop into a business relationship is deleted promptly. Where a business relationship is established, relevant personal data is retained in physical records and on Google Workspace servers.

Your Rights and How to Exercise Them
If you submit a request concerning the rights listed below to Akkır Legal through the email address on this website or by the methods stated in the Personal Data Protection and Processing Policy, the request will be assessed and concluded as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days. Under Article 11 of the Law, you have the right to:
- learn whether your personal data is being processed;
- request information if your personal data has been processed;
- learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in accordance with that purpose;
- know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred in Türkiye or abroad;
- request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data and notification of that correction to third parties to whom the data has been transferred;
- request deletion or destruction of personal data where the grounds for processing no longer exist, and notification of that action to third parties to whom the data has been transferred;
- object to a result arising against you through the analysis of processed data exclusively by automated systems; and
- claim compensation where you suffer loss as a result of unlawful processing.
